On Set-Up Day for Art in Bloom, Patron and Benefactor FRIENDS members enjoyed an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour at the Minneapolis Institute of Art (Mia), led by Past Co-Chair and Pedestal Floral Artist Committee Chair, Lezlie Pinske. This special preview, celebrating the event’s 41st anniversary, offered a rare glimpse into the creative process as floral artists installed their stunning arrangements—each inspired by Mia’s renowned collection.
Guests wandered through the galleries, engaging with artists about their inspirations and techniques while admiring the vibrant blooms before the official opening. Adding a playful twist, several attendees unintentionally matched their outfits to the floral displays—a delightful, unplanned moment of harmony between art and fashion!
