FRIENDS of the Minnesota Orchestra is dedicated to music education for children and families through our special education programs such as our award-winning Kinder Konzerts. We are a separate nonprofit from the Minnesota Orchestra and donations to FRIENDS are used exclusively for our music education programming, which includes hiring an ensemble of Minnesota Orchestra musicians to play for our programs. While the cost to produce these exceptional music education programs using world-class professional musicians is substantial, the cost to schools is nominal (and free for underserved schools in the Kinder Konzerts On The Road program) because we are a volunteer-run and member-supported non-profit. SUPPORT OUR MISSION

Annual Membership gifts are one of the most effective ways to support FRIENDS of the Minnesota Orchestra. Annual Membership contributions provide steady and reliable support for our programs, in a convenient, ongoing way. While your gift is 100% tax-deductible, there are associated benefits for each Membership level. Monthly contributions are available at certain levels. You choose your Membership level and whether your annual contribution gift will be a one-time gift or renewed automatically (until you choose to cancel or change it). Each year, automatic renewals will be processed by the method given and for the amount you specify. You can increase, decrease or stop your contribution at any time by calling us at 612-315-9394. Our Members are crucial to providing an ongoing base of community support that we can rely on and, as a Member, you will join a vibrant community of music lovers and receive invitations to Member events.

Membership Contribution

A donor advised fund (DAF), which is like a charitable savings account, gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to FRIENDS of the Minnesota Orchestra. Donor advised funds can be used for membership contributions or donations without membership. Please ask your fund adviser to specify the purpose of the gift as “support as needed for FRIENDS of the Minnesota Orchestra” in the gift letter.
