This premier event begins with an intriguing discussion featuring Valéria Piccoli, Mia's Curator of Latin American Art, in conversation with Dexter Dalwood and Daniel Sobrino Ralston, curators from the National Gallery, London. They will delve into the artistic practice of José María Velasco (1840–1912), whose breathtaking panoramas captured the rich history and dynamic modernization of 19th-century Mexico.
Following the presentation, enjoy a private viewing of the landmark exhibition, “José María Velasco: A View of Mexico,” led by Mia's curator. This unique opportunity allows you to connect with the art immediately after hearing the experts' insights.
